We have a selection of eyewear to suit different applications and hazards, plus the many different face shapes and comfort requirements. It is important to choose the correct eye protection and shade for the hazard the wearer is faced with. A range of goggles are also available, including welding shades in this section.
STANDARDS
Fully compliant with either or a combination of the following standards.
AS/NZS 1337, 1992 Australia, New Zealand combined standard.
ANSI 287.1 American Standard. CE EN166 European Standard.
Standards are marked on the spectacle frame and noted in the specifications on the product description pages.
LENSES
Lenses are manufactured from polycarbonate, with other features added, for example hard-coat for scratch resistance, colour tints, anti-fog, anti-static. The polycarbonate lenses offer 99% protection from natural UV light, some spectacles are marked UV400, this provides 100% UV protection. Infrared shades, these are recommended for Gas welding as they protect the eyes from infared light. Available also in Goggles.
